Originally written for piano*, "Melancholic Waltz" is a composition that captures the essence of the profound connection between music, emotions, and memories. Inspired by the Oscar Wilde quote, "Music is the art which is most nigh to tears and memories", this piece takes the listener on a journey through a range of emotions, from wistful nostalgia to profound sadness. 

As the melancholic waltz progresses, the listener is invited to reflect on their own memories and emotions, and to find solace in the beauty of the music. *This edition contains one version for pedal harp in the original key of B minor and one version in B-flat minor. 

The sheet music includes pedal changes in both versions.
